Role description:
In this role you will use your construction inspection experience to support and improve project oversight to ensure successful completion of transportation project(s); thereby assisting Arcadis in growing our business as well as increasing your own professional value. If you possess solid leadership, technical, organizational, and communication skills; and have a demonstrated successful track record, we want to speak with you.Role accountabilities:
Report to the resident engineer and keep good communications Provide inspection and quality assurance on roadway or bridge construction projects. Determine if completed work follows the plans and specifications. Coordinate work with the contractor and various public utility agencies. Maintain the records and reports related to the project. Coordinate directly with the general contractor and assist in negotiating change orders. Assist in inspections to assure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions Assist in the preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required for the project. Coordinate the sampling and testing of construction materials to monitor compliance with contract specifications. Monitor and track contractor progress. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required. Coordinate with the project team, as well as the Construction Staking and Material Testing CMCs.Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 1 year of construction experience. Experience and certifications in NCDOT inspection and materials testing (earthwork, asphalt, concrete, pavement preservation and Erosion & Sedimentation Control) is preferred Experience with NCDOT's construction procedures is a plus Valid driver's license and favorable driving record Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Continue your career journey as an Arcadian.
