Electrical Inspector

Project Overview

We're seeking an experienced I&E Inspector II to support a new natural gas interconnect and metering facility construction project. The scope includes design and construction of ultrasonic metering, filtration, odorization, yard piping, communications integration, and a 16-inch hot-tap branch connection.

Responsibilities

Provide instrumentation and electrical (I&E) inspection oversight throughout construction of the interconnect and metering facility

Inspect installation of ultrasonic metering equipment, filtration systems, and odorization equipment for compliance with design specifications and applicable codes

Oversee yard piping installation and tie-ins

Inspect communications/SCADA integration work

Monitor and document the 16-inch hot-tap branch connection activity

Verify contractor work complies with client specifications, industry codes (ASME, API, etc.), and regulatory requirements

Maintain daily inspection reports, punch lists, and QA/QC documentation

Coordinate with construction management, engineering, and contractor personnel on-site

Identify and report non-conformances; verify corrective actions

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an I&E Inspector on natural gas or midstream construction projects

Working knowledge of metering, filtration, odorization, and yard piping systems

Experience with hot-tap connections a plus

Familiarity with SCADA/communications integration inspection

Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (ASME B31.8, API, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and construction drawings

Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting

Valid driver's license; ability to work on an active construction site
