As a technician, you will support construction projects through field inspection, testing, documentation, and plan interpretation, with work reviewed during the process and upon completion. You'll also serve as a construction observer by taking field measurements and documentation entries as assigned. Principal Responsibilities Perform intermediate to advanced field inspection, testing, and documentation Complete on-site testing of soils, concrete, or hot mix asphalt independently or interdependently Complete laboratory testing of soils, concrete, or hot mix asphalt independently or interdependently Attend training to achieve various certifications Understand operations and identify potential problems Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment Observe safety and security procedures Required Qualifications and Skills Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred 1 years of experience minimum required, 2 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred Ability to work well in a team environment Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to read a tape measure in both fractions and tenths Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Must always maintain professional conduct Valid driver's license required with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier Advanced/Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
