Commercial Roofing- New York, Long Island Area, New Jersey Local Job Summary:

As a Roof Advisor, you will provide quality control testing and inspection duties for our company throughout the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. You will conducts on-site inspections, document existing conditions, understand service specifications, and records works in progress. In this role, you will also assist in maintaining organized records, files, drawings, and/or other data essential to the project.

As the Roof Advisor you will be responsible for daily review and performance of efficiency, and quality as it relates to the performance of inspection services. You will be working independently or in conjunction with designated management using your knowledge of industry and/or professional guidelines and protocols. What You'll do: Perform quality assurance site inspections relative to building envelope and roof components to verify conformance with construction documents, manufacturer, and industry standards Understand and identify problems and challenges to each roofing system inspected Perform field testing of roofing systems and other building components on new construction and existing facilities Review construction documents including architectural drawings, shop drawings, and submittals relative to the building enclosure Complete Roof Reports and inspections utilizing FCS software and customer portals Complete Threat Check assessments for customers to identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for repairs or replacement Responsible for completing documents, forms, processes, and data gathering to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity in our roof inspection reporting. Other duties assigned by the Senior Estimating Manager or Director of Estimation. Educational Requirements, Experience & Physical capabilities: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred 3-5 years direct hands-on experience in the commercial roofing industry Experience with quality assurance and roof inspections Knowledge of various roof systems, materials, construction processes and assemblies Adept at reading and understanding plans & specifications Ability to safely climb and navigate steep and high roof systems and varying structures/slopes Ability to lift 50lbs or more, lifting a ladder. Strong communication skills - ability to mentor staff and engage with clients Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be fluent in English; a second language is an advantage PB Roofing Core Values Coachable We are open and eager to continually learn, improve, and grow in our roles.
