We are re-hiring former Boswell Employees who are skilled and experienced in Municipal Highway Construction Inspection in New Jersey (NJ), including highway, culvert, rail and bridge projects involving
NYSDOT, NJDOT, NJTA.
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site inspection of various heavy highway and/or bridge rehabilitation/ replacement, culverts, resurfacing, and roadway safety improvement projects for municipal clients Daily inspection efforts on projects of varied complexity and size in order to ensure contractors operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents Complete daily inspection reports Prepare sketches and assemble data to utilize when making field changes to the project Provide on-site inspection to ensure adequate inspection of contractor's work, safety protocols, are in conformance with the contract plans and specifications Assist Resident Engineer, Office Engineer and/or Chief Inspection in keeping track of pay items, MPT compliance, site safety, contract specific requirements, and reporting any deviations Assure general compliance with the client's standards and specifications Perform both office and field Construction Inspection duties Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven Ability to interpret plans/ specifications and properly document collected data Prior Employment/ Work experience with Boswell as a Construction Inspector on Roadways OR Highways in NJ - prior work experience with townships and municipalities preferred but is not required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation as well as current US work eligibility preferred Ability and flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as required We recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
