If you're ready to grow your career in a supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Youngstown, OH. Key Responsibilities Perform field sampling and quality control/quality assurance testing on soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, ODOT, and PennDOT procedures. Conduct moisture-density testing for soil and asphalt compaction. Monitor and document concrete placement, slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight; prepare, cure, and test concrete specimens. Conduct footing inspections, floor slab inspections, subgrade inspections, and proof roll inspections to verify compliance with project specifications. Collect representative samples of construction materials for laboratory testing. Maintain precise, legible field logs and test reports. Properly maintain, calibrate, and transport testing equipment. Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with clients, contractors, and the public. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Working toward a degree in civil engineering, geology, construction, or related field (preferred but not required) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (will train) Ability to obtain necessary certifications through the company. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather, and stand/walk for extended periods. Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
