This role involves performing plan reviews, field inspections, and administrative enforcement of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC / Act 45) across commercial projects in the Northeast PA region. Required PA DLI Certifications To be considered, candidates must hold active PA Department of Labor and Industry (PA DLI) certifications in all of the following commercial disciplines: Building Inspector Fire Inspector Electrical Inspector Mechanical Inspector Plumbing Inspector Energy Inspector Accessibility Inspector / Plans Examiner Key Responsibilities Review commercial construction plans, engineering documents, and blueprints for PA UCC code compliance prior to permit approval. Conduct technical on-site commercial field inspections across all required disciplines. Administer and enforce construction code compliance, issuing notices, violations, and certificates of occupancy. Organize daily inspection schedules independently, travel throughout assigned regional territory, and submit electronic inspection reports. Maintain professional relationships with municipal leaders, project managers, contractors, and site owners. Qualifications & Experience Active PA DLI Construction Code Official certifications in all seven commercial areas listed above. Proven background in municipal building code enforcement or third-party inspection agencies. Practical experience in construction trades, apprenticeship completion, or related coursework/degrees in construction technology, engineering, architecture, or public administration. Competency with digital inspection software, electronic blueprint reading, and mobile field reporting. Valid driver's license and the physical capability to navigate active construction sites.
Compensation & Full Benefits Contract Weekly Pay:
Competitive annual pay structure scaled by active state certifications.
