Performs a variety of routine and complex technical work in the evaluation of stormwater management controls at construction sites, developed sites, and county facilities. Assists with the implementation of the County's stormwater program. Competencies for
Successful Performance of Job Duties :
Thorough knowledge of sediment and erosion control inspection practices; ability to read and understand complicated plans and blueprints; knowledge of federal and state stormwater regulations and permits. Ability to conduct GIS data collection and use ArcGIS software; thorough knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software; knowledge of water sample collection and analysis methods. Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, owners, and the public; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Required Licenses, Skills, or Certifications:
A valid driver's license or ability to obtain one. Must have SCDES Certified Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector Certification or be able to obtain the certification within six (6) months of hire date. Must have FAA Unmanned Aerial Systems Remote Pilot Certification or be able to obtain the certification within six (6) months of hire date.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences, construction science, environmental science, natural resources, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or related field 1 to 3 years' experience
