Job Description

Responsibilities You will conduct routine and opening inspections of offices, facilities, and/or locations of licensees to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations. You will answer questions that licensees have about the inspection process. You will prepare inspection reports and explain to licensees the basis for the corrective actions required. You will conduct follow-up inspections detailing whether the required corrective actions were taken. You will prepare and present documentation to the Investigative Review Committee (IRC) for non-compliance situations. You will work closely with Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) and testify at hearings, as needed. You will ensure information, documents and reports are properly uploaded into the Agency's system. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. (A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience). Preferred Qualifications Prior regulatory or experience performing inspections. Ability to conduct inspections, analyze facts, and reach conclusions. Knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the job. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials and the general public. Ability to present clear, concise and comprehensive oral and written reports. Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers. Strong written and oral communication skills. Other Requirements Must have a valid driver's license and 10-year MVR that complies with State and Agency Fleet guidelines. Must be able to drive a state or personal vehicle to complete assigned job duties. May require extended periods of driving, sitting, and visiting facilities that are non-ADA compliant. May need to bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.
