The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a Veteran-Owned company specializing in residential, commercial, and energy services in the DFW Metroplex and we are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Building Inspector to support the organization's building and construction projects This Building Inspector is responsible for evaluating structures, reviewing building plans, conducting inspections, documenting findings, and ensuring projects meet applicable building codes and engineering specifications What You'll Do As a Building Inspector, you will help ensure the safety and quality of residential and construction projects by conducting on-site inspections, verifying work against approved plans, preparing detailed reports, and communicating findings to relevant parties. Key Responsibilities Review building plans and project specifications prior to inspections Perform building inspections to verify construction matches approved plans and applicable code requirements Evaluate the structural quality and soundness of buildings and construction projects Document inspection findings with detailed notes and appropriate photographs Prepare and enter inspection reports accurately and thoroughly Review reports for accuracy and completeness prior to submission Ensure all required inspection reports are submitted daily Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and professional standards What We Are Looking For Qualifications Obtain and maintain a Residential Combo Inspector License, if not already licensed Maintain required licenses and complete applicable continuing education/CEUs Building inspection experience or related construction/code compliance experience preferred Knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and engineering specifications Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle requirements Additional Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage daily inspections, documentation, and reporting requirements Professional and positive approach when working with coworkers, contractors, and customers Excellent customer service and ability to communicate inspection findings professionally If you are a dependable building inspection professional who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and quality & looking for the opportunity to contribute directly to compliant, well-built projects while working in a professional environment that values teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply today !
