Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA/QC (Mechanical Construction) specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position, with on-site employment at a large data center construction project in Santa Teresa, NM. In this vital role, you will oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes for our large mechanical construction project, ensuring all work complies with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications. Your expertise will help maintain the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and quality across all phases of construction. Duties
- Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
- Responsible for total compliance with plans, specifications and other project documents.
- Assure continuity and adherence to MBI guidelines.
- Responsible for receiving and inspection of all equipment, materials and fixtures to ensure compliance with construction documents.
- Review all submittals for compliance with construction documents.
- Assure compliance with code requirements.
- Responsible for timely inspections of installed systems for quality.
- Ensure compliance with the MBI Start Up Matrix by all trades.
- Review detailed shop drawings for compliance with construction documents.
- Document issues regarding quality and develop a tracking system to ensure issues are corrected timely. Track all non-conformances until resolved.
- Ensure field compliance with the coordinated BIM model (all trades).
- Ensure pre-function checklists are complete and accurate prior to start up.
- Document progress of installations with photos as required.
- Responsible to review as built drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Immediately report all issues to Project Manager.
- Assist in RFI/ASI process.
- Attend client quality management or other required meetings.
- Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QC Manager.
- Act on and close all customer complaints (internal and external).
- Archive all quality documentation at the end of the project.
- Regularly evaluate field installation/production methods looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Work with foremen, superintendents and detailing on office, job, and field problems with equipment, materials and MBI subcontractors.
- Attend internal and external job meetings to ensure responsibilities are achieved.
- Assure O&M manuals, T&B reports, as-builts and other project closeout documentation is achieved, reviewed and submitted in a timely fashion.
- Exhibit an attitude of cooperation and teamwork.
Pay:
$38.46 - $57.69 per hourBenefits:
