Job Description

Job Description Architectural Inspector Architectural Plan Review, LLC Primary Function:
Inspect home exteriors and surrounding landscape in master planned communities near Leander, TX. A checklist will be provided to the Inspector to assure compliance with architectural control guidelines are being followed. Inspector works with APR Community Specialists.
Required Skills:
Strong organizational skills a MUST. Inspection documentation and computer filing skills required. General construction knowledge Must have excellent technical knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, internet email, website updates and cell phone camera. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams is preferred. Must be able to devote strict attention to details while conducting inspections. Ability to communicate well and build relationships with APR and builder field personnel is essential. Must have dependable transportation.
Typical Duties:
Check designated work email daily for inspection requests. Attend 30 minute bi-weekly Inspector meetings (virtually). Obtain inspection files. Maintain spreadsheet of inspection requests, inspections, and follow-up. Conduct weekly inspections using inspection checklist. Take pictures of each home, from opposing angles, with your cell phone camera and upload to company based website and SharePoint. Prepare fee assessments for additional inspections required due to non-compliance. Sign and email completed inspection information to builder, Development office, and APR. Update company based website with photos and inspection dates. Maintain contact with APR regarding any issues relating to builder compliance with guidelines. 1099 Contractor, part time (10-25 hours/week) position starting pay: $18 per hour. The inspector is required to be in the community at least one day per week to complete inspections and communicate face to face with the builders. More days may be required depending on workload. The inspector will prepare a detailed invoice twice a month for accounting. Must pass background check. An initial trial period of 30 days will be in effect immediately upon hire. After the initial 30 days, two weeks notice must be given by either party wishing to terminate the relationship.
