Job Description

Position Summary Inspect all existing facilities and completed contract construction to ensure that all new and existing facilities are in compliance with RUS Specifications and in compliance with the National Electric Safety Code. Working Conditions General office with a majority of work in field conditions , including standing, walking, and sitting . Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multifunctioning printer and photocopier, and calculator . Manual dexterity, repetitive motions, ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, ability to reach and bend, walk, stand, drive, speak, multi-tasking, analyze and reason . Ability to travel to and from job sites, May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays. Essential Functions Performs field inspection of work performed by outside contractors and crews and notes any corrective action to be taken Patrols distribution line on a regular schedule Prepares service orders Inspects construction on joint use poles by other companies verifying compliance with NESC Observes all safety rules and company policies Performs other duties, tasks, and special projects assigned
