In the role of Resident Project Representative II, we'll count on you to: Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts Review accurate daily records of the inspector's daily activities and the work performed, and compliance with building code Attend and/or chair progress meetings with the contractor, owners representatives and clients Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems Identify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until corrected Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance Work under general supervision of a Project Manager Supervise and direct the activities of administrative staff and Construction Inspectors, and subconsultants Preferred Qualifications Professional license as Texas State Plumber or Electrical Inspector. ICC Certifications or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification Ability to lead a team of professional inspectors and staff Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer or project manager Ability to effectively communicate and maintain excellent client relationships Experience in coordinating with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) Building Official and Fire Marshal. Experience in advanced manufacturing/industrial facilities. #LI-KT1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents Must be able to work in a team environment Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position What We Believe HDR is our company.
