Certification Teamwork Schematics Attention to detail Organizational skills Wiring harnesses Quality audits Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Measurement (quality control) Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our growing team in a fast-paced cable and wire harness manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing in-process, receiving, and final inspections on electrical cable assemblies and wire harnesses to ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience within cable/harness manufacturing, a solid understanding of
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards, and the ability to identify workmanship defects while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who takes pride in precision, accountability, and producing high-reliability products. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Quality Verification Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections on cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical subassemblies Inspect workmanship including crimp quality, solder joints, labeling, routing, torque, mechanical integrity, and overall assembly configuration Verify products using drawings, work instructions, travelers, BOMs, engineering specifications, and inspection checklists Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and validate engineering changes or new product builds Identify and document defects, nonconforming material, and workmanship concerns Documentation & Reporting Complete inspection reports, FAIRs, NCRs, and quality documentation accurately and thoroughly Communicate quality findings clearly with production, engineering, and management teams Ensure all products meet
IPC/WHMA-A-620
Class II and/or Class III requirements Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action activities Tools & Test Equipment Utilize standard inspection and measurement tools including: Calipers, micrometers, magnifiers, pin gauges, and torque tools Continuity testers, pull testers, multimeters, and inspection microscopes Cirrus testing equipment and related inspection systems Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve build or documentation issues Provide guidance and feedback to assemblers regarding quality standards and workmanship expectations Support internal audits, customer inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications 3-5+ years of quality inspection experience in cable and wire harness manufacturing Current
IPC/WHMA-A-620
Certified Specialist (CS) certification required Ability to read and interpret: Electrical schematics Wiring diagrams BOMs Assembly drawings and work instructions Strong understanding of cable assemblies, connectors, crimps, terminations, and manufacturing standards Experience using inspection tools, measuring devices, and electrical test equipment Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications

Certification Experience working within AS9100 or
ISO 9001
