This role is ideal for a retired or experienced Construction Manager, Superintendent, or Building Inspector looking to continue applying their expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will serve as the on-site point of control, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulations, while maintaining clear communication with the Construction Manager. Key Responsibilities Oversee and monitor day-to-day job site activities across multiple projects Supervise subcontractors and ensure work meets quality standards and timelines Ensure strict compliance with Utah building codes, permits, and safety regulations Conduct inspections and proactively identify and resolve on-site issues Coordinate with crews, vendors, and suppliers to maintain workflow efficiency Provide consistent updates to the Construction Manager regarding progress and challenges Assist with minor on-site repairs or adjustments when needed (handyman-type tasks) Review plans, scopes of work, and specifications to ensure proper execution Help maintain organized schedules, reports, and site documentation
Required Qualifications Bilingual:
Fluent in Spanish and English (required) 5+ years of experience in construction (Superintendent, Inspector, Construction Manager, or similar) Strong knowledge of residential construction and renovation processes Solid understanding of local building codes and compliance requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints, permits, and technical documents Proven ability to manage subcontractors and job site operations Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in the field Excellent communication skills with both field teams and management Familiarity with construction management software and scheduling tools Ideal Candidate Profile Retired or semi-retired Construction Manager, Building Inspector, or Superintendent Highly proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented Comfortable being both supervisor and hands-on problem solver Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Respected leader who can effectively communicate with crews What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Performance-based incentives and productivity bonuses Opportunity to work on a variety of renovation and construction projects Opportunities for professional growth and development.
