Job Description

The Electrical Inspector supports semiconductor tool installation project, ensuring all electrical systems and installations meet strict quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role focuses on high-reliability electrical infrastructure and tool hook-up work within cleanroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect installation of electrical systems supporting semiconductor tools, including power distribution, control wiring, telecommunication cabling and equipment hook-ups. Verify compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70, project specifications, and SEMI standards). Review electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and tool installation packages. Inspect cable tray installations, conduit routing, grounding/bonding systems, and panel terminations. Verify correct wire types, insulation ratings, labeling, glanding & terminating and proper torquing of terminations. Ensure proper installation and testing of cleanroom-rated electrical components and systems. Witness and review electrical testing, including continuity checks, insulation resistance (megger) testing, and other functional testing. Coordinate with engineering to resolve installation issues and non-conformances. Maintain detailed inspection reports, punch lists, and turnover documentation. Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are ready for energization and operation. Enforce safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and arc flash compliance. Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols and contamination control requirements. Have experience in arc flash mitigation, terminations into live systems
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred. 6+ years of electrical inspection experience, preferably in semiconductor, industrial, energy or mission-critical environments. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical standards. Experience with semiconductor tool installation, including tool hook-ups and sub-fab systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Familiarity with cleanroom environments and contamination control practices. Strong understanding of grounding, bonding, and power system requirements.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience on similar semiconductor fab projects. NICET certification or equivalent electrical inspection credentials. Experience with Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems in high-tech manufacturing facilities. Knowledge of backup power systems, UPS, and critical power distribution. Strong QA/QC documentation and turnover package experience.
Working Conditions:
Work performed in semiconductor fabrication facilities (cleanroom and sub-fab environments). Requires strict adherence to gowning and contamination control procedures. May involve extended hours, shift work
Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
