Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections of outdoor fiber optic cable installation sites, ensuring adherence to construction plans, specifications, and regulatory standards. Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents to verify project scope and compliance. Monitor construction activities on-site, including trenching, ducting, aerial fiber deployment, and splicing operations, to maintain quality control. Enforce safety regulations and construction regulations to protect workers and the public during project execution. Collect data through detailed site inspections, document progress, and prepare reports on construction quality, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence. Perform quality inspections at various stages of construction to ensure building code compliance and high standards of workmanship. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure projects, particularly in public works or utility installation roles. Strong knowledge of construction regulations, building codes, safety standards, and inspection procedures related to fiber optic or telecommunications infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications accurately. Familiarity with construction management practices including contract administration and data collection methods. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Prior experience conducting quality control inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance during large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
