Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Framing and Foundation Superintendent to oversee residential, multifamily, and commercial projects. This role requires strong field knowledge in both framing and foundations, the ability to read and understand plans for both trades, and the leadership skills needed to manage crews, schedules, inspections, quality control, and jobsite communication. This position is for someone who takes ownership of the project from start to finish. You will be responsible for making sure jobs are built correctly, crews have what they need, inspections are ready, issues are caught early, and clients are kept confident that RUDA is taking care of the job. A major focus of this role is being proactive. We want issues identified and handled before the builder, client, homeowner, inspector, or project manager has to point them out. If a client has to bring an obvious issue to our attention before we notice it, then we have already missed part of our responsibility. This role also requires a customer-first mindset. RUDA's goal is not only to complete the contracted scope, but to create a smooth and professional experience for the builder and client. That means communicating clearly, solving problems quickly, reducing stress on the client, and taking reasonable steps to keep the project moving forward. The first three months of this position will include on-site training focused on RUDA's systems, standards, expectations, quality control process, communication structure, and the way we manage framing and foundation projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee framing and foundation projects from start to finish. Read and understand plans, specifications, structural details, foundation plans, framing plans, wall sections, elevations, and related project documents. Manage field crews and help ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, code requirements, and RUDA standards. Coordinate daily jobsite progress, manpower needs, material needs, inspections, and schedule priorities. Walk jobs regularly to identify issues, deficiencies, quality concerns, or schedule risks before they become bigger problems. Make sure framing and foundation work is completed correctly the first time whenever possible. Catch and handle issues before they are noticed by the builder, client, homeowner, inspector, or project manager. Prepare jobs for inspections and walk inspections with inspectors when needed. Correct or coordinate correction of inspection items quickly so the job can continue moving forward. Communicate clearly with builders, clients, inspectors, crews, department leaders, and office staff. Review job progress and make sure crews understand the scope of work, schedule, expectations, and quality standards. Track and communicate material shortages, plan conflicts, site issues, inspection concerns, and schedule delays early. Help coordinate concrete pours, foundation layouts, footing/stem wall work, wall framing, floor systems, roof framing, hardware, backing, shear walls, and other related scopes. Slab work experience is a major plus, including slab prep, vapor barrier, insulation, reinforcement, grading, flatwork coordination, and concrete placement. Create, manage, and complete punch lists for framing and foundation work. Work with crews to correct deficiencies and prevent repeat mistakes. Help train crew members on RUDA standards, best practices, safety, workmanship, and quality control. Maintain a clean, professional, and organized jobsite presence. Represent RUDA with professionalism, ownership, and a service-first attitude. Take reasonable action to help keep the job moving, even when the task is outside the normal day-to-day expectations of a Superintendent. Look for practical ways to reduce stress for the builder, client, crews, and leadership team. Help protect RUDA's reputation by making sure our work is handled with excellence, urgency, and integrity. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means the builder and client feel like RUDA is watching out for the job, not just completing a scope of work. You are expected to notice issues early, communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, protect the schedule, and take ownership of the details. The goal is for clients to feel supported and confident that RUDA is staying ahead of the project. You are not just managing crews. You are protecting the schedule, protecting the client experience, protecting RUDA's reputation, and helping our teams improve. A successful Superintendent at RUDA does not wait for someone else to point out a problem. They walk the job, find the issue, communicate the solution, and help move the project forward. Qualifications Experience in both framing and foundations required. Minimum 3 years of experience in one trade and minimum 4 years of experience in the other trade required. Ability to read and understand framing plans, foundation plans, structural details, elevations, wall sections, and project specifications. Strong understanding of framing methods, foundation construction, jobsite sequencing, inspections, and quality control. Slab work experience is a major plus. Ability to manage crews, schedules, inspections, materials, and multiple active job sites. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify workmanship issues, plan conflicts, and potential delays. Strong communication skills with builders, clients, inspectors, crews, managers, and office staff. Ability to work independently and make good field decisions. Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and customer service. Ability to take ownership of jobsite issues instead of waiting for someone else to point them out. Customer-first attitude and willingness to help keep the job moving. Leadership ability and desire to grow with the company. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
