Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Crane Operator to join our dynamic construction and materials handling team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of cranes, including overhead cranes, boom trucks, and forklifts, to facilitate the movement and placement of heavy materials on construction sites and in warehouse environments. Your expertise in load handling procedures, rigging, and safety protocols will ensure efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to make a tangible impact on our construction and logistics operations. Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, and other lifting equipment with precision to handle materials safely and efficiently. Follow load handling procedures in crane operations, ensuring proper rigging and load securing methods are adhered to at all times. Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment, checking hydraulic systems, safety devices, and load capacity gauges. Implement construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards during all lifting activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences, ensuring smooth material handling and delivery on-site or within warehouse settings. Maintain detailed records of crane operation logs, incident reports, and safety inspections for compliance purposes. Assist with shipping & receiving tasks by loading/unloading materials using appropriate lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience operating cranes such as overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in construction or warehouse environments. Strong mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, load handling procedures, rigging techniques, and safety equipment usage. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial driving preferred. Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on lifting equipment and identify potential issues proactively. Familiarity with materials handling processes including load securing rigging methods and use of various material handling equipment. Prior experience working within construction workplaces or shipping & receiving environments is highly desirable. $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
