Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Boom Operator to join our construction and materials handling team. In this vital role, you will operate boom trucks and other heavy lifting equipment to move, load, and position materials efficiently across various construction sites and warehouses. Your expertise in crane operation, rigging, and safety protocols will ensure smooth workflow and adherence to OSHA safety standards. Duties Operate boom trucks, cranes, and other lifting equipment with precision to handle heavy loads safely and efficiently Follow load handling procedures in crane operations to ensure stability and safety during lifting activities Secure loads using appropriate rigging methods, including load securing rigging techniques, to prevent accidents or load shifts Conduct routine inspections of cranes, hydraulics, safety equipment, and load handling gear before each use Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards during all operations Coordinate with team members for material handling, shipping & receiving tasks, and site logistics Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and safety checks to ensure compliance with safety protocols Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, lifting equipment, and load handling systems Proven experience operating overhead cranes, boom trucks, backhoes, and other heavy machinery in construction or warehouse environments Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and implementation of OSHA standards Skilled in rigging techniques for various load types and materials handling procedures Ability to operate material handling equipment safely in diverse environments including warehouses and construction sites Excellent understanding of safety equipment use and adherence to safety protocol guidelines Capable of performing basic maintenance checks on heavy equipment to ensure optimal operation Experience with shipping & receiving processes within construction or warehouse settings Join our team as a Boom Operator if you're passionate about working with heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment where safety comes first! $22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
