Crane Mechanic Compliance & Day-to-Day Operations Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repairs on cranes and crane systems to manufacturer specifications Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues on cranes Conduct crane safety inspections in compliance with OSHA crane standards Maintain effective communication with project teams and crane operators regarding equipment status and repairs Perform lock out / tag out procedures as needed Clean and maintain cranes, crane components, and the work area Travel to construction sites as needed, including frequent site visits Perform other duties as assigned Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement Implement maintenance schedules for cranes and crane attachments to minimize downtime Develop and implement process improvements specific to crane maintenance and inspection Financial Management & Risk Assessment Estimate and manage crane repair costs and budgets Identify and mitigate risks and liabilities related to crane operation and mechanical condition Culture & Talent Development Collaborate with mechanics, technicians, and crane operators to share knowledge and best practices Mentor and train junior mechanics on crane-specific systems Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful attitude in all interactions Technology & Innovation Stay current on new crane technologies and equipment advancements Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and software specific to crane systems Monitoring & Review Keep accurate records of crane maintenance, repairs, and inspections Monitor crane performance, wire rope condition, and maintenance needs Maintain documentation to support crane inspection and certification requirements External Relations & Representation Communicate with vendors and suppliers to procure crane parts and equipment Coordinate with third-party crane inspectors and certification bodies as needed Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements/Qualifications:

3+ years experience as a mechanic in the construction industry, with hands-on experience maintaining cranes OSHA 10 required NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification Post-secondary training in heavy equipment mechanics, diesel mechanics, or a related field (certificate, diploma, or degree preferred but not required) Strong understanding of crane systems, including hydraulics, wire rope, and load charts Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and crane load charts Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Physical ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment Willingness to work in a shop or outdoor setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions High school diploma or equivalent

Salary/Benefits:
