Job Description Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a full-service fabrication shop in Grand Rapids, is looking to add Crane Operator / Painters to their team. Crane Operator /
Painter Summary:
$20/hr + 10% shift premium 2nd
Shift:
4:00pm - 3:30am Crane Operator /
Painter Job Duties:
Safely operate overhead cranes to move structural steel and fabricated materials throughout the facility. Load, unload, position, and transport materials to workstations and staging areas. Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, grinding, sanding, and masking as needed. Apply industrial coatings and paint finishes using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers. Inspect painted surfaces to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and quality standards are met. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of cranes and painting equipment. Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading using cranes or other yard equipment. Follow all safety procedures while operating cranes and handling paints, coatings, and related materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly dispose of waste materials. Assist with additional production duties as assigned. Crane Operator /
Painter Qualifications:
Previous experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred. Industrial painting experience on structural steel or fabricated metal products preferred. Ability to safely operate lifting equipment and follow rigging procedures. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and industrial paint application. Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Why Peoplelink?
