Lansing, Michigan Pay:
$26.00•$28.00 per hour (DOE) Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Boom Operator to join our team in Lansing, MI. This role is responsible for delivering drywall and building materials to residential and commercial job sites while operating a boom truck to safely place materials where needed. The ideal candidate will have experience operating boom equipment, a valid CDL Class B license, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities Operate a boom truck to deliver drywall and building materials to construction sites. Safely load, transport, and unload materials using boom equipment and peaked pallets. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain required documentation. Ensure compliance with all DOT, company, and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and job site personnel. Secure loads properly and verify delivery accuracy. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of equipment and vehicle. Assist with material handling and job site coordination as needed. QualificationsRequired Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record. Experience operating a boom truck, crane truck, or similar material-handling equipment. Knowledge of construction site safety practices. Ability to lift, move, and secure building materials. Strong communication and customer service skills. Preferred NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification. Experience delivering drywall, roofing materials, lumber, or other building products. Construction material delivery experience. Certification Assistance Candidates with relevant boom truck operating experience who do not currently possess NCCCO certification may be eligible for company assistance in obtaining the certification. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb, bend, reach, and perform physical labor associated with deliveries. Ability to safely handle construction materials and equipment. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $26.00•$28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
