Physical Condition:
As a Crane Operator, the job entails significant physical exertion. Anticipate long hours standing, lifting, and sitting, and frequently bending and kneeling throughout the project. We reserve the right to mandate physical examinations, drug screenings, and background checks for our employees.
Job Summary:
Certified Crane Operators' responsibilities include but are not limited to operating various crane machinery, lifting, and transporting various materials on job sites, effectively and efficiently. Crane Operators are responsible for frequently inspecting and maintaining general maintenance of all operating crane equipment, such as checking fluids, and track adjustments, as well as greasing and wiping down equipment before and after usage. Understanding the mechanics and all operations of the equipment is mandatory. Establishing communication with the equipment manager and on-site foreman is expected to report when equipment is due for service and immediately convey when there are any damages or mechanical problems that have occurred. Expect to work cautiously alongside live highway traffic and people, at elevated heights up to 50 feet, and carrying heavy materials up to 50 lbs throughout a variety of weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet, fog, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Operation of Equipment:
Operating various crane equipment and machinery, also, lifting and transporting various materials across the job site.
Inspections and Maintenance:
Performing inspections of equipment to ensure equipment is perfectly functional such as checking fluids, track adjustments, and properly greasing and wiping down equipment after and before usage, etc.
Understanding and Communication:
Clearly understand all operations of equipment, know all aspects provided in equipment manuals, communicate when equipment is due for service, and report any damages or mechanical issues while operating equipment immediately to the equipment manager and onsite foreman. Utilizing various hand and power tools: Operating a wide range of tools including hammers, wrenches, drills, and power tools like grease guns, and/or air compressors to properly maintenance working equipment.
Safety and Efficiency:
Operating heavy equipment effectively and safely near and around highway traffic, properly utilizing any safety equipment and/or gear per duties.
Work conditions:
Near and around live highway traffic and people, and occasionally working at elevated heights using ladders or mobile equipment while carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Weather Conditions:
Performing duties in outdoor environments regardless of weather conditions; snow, rain, sleet, fog, and various temperatures. Prevailing Wage Range:
