Job Description
Core Competencies - Maintenance Technician Mechanical Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Hydraulics and pneumatics diagnosis and repair Power transmission (bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, couplings) Precision alignment and machine setup Welding and basic fabrication (MIG preferred) Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly prints Electrical Basic to intermediate industrial electrical troubleshooting (24VDC, 120/240/480VAC) Read electrical schematics Troubleshoot sensors, relays, contactors, and motor controls Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety knowledge Automation Experience with FANUC robots (preferred) Robot recovery and fault troubleshooting End-of-arm tooling (EOAT) troubleshooting I/O troubleshooting between robots and PLCs Vision system experience (bonus) Manufacturing Equipment Progressive stamping press experience (preferred) Resistance welding and/or MIG welding equipment Conveyor and automation systems Preventive and predictive maintenance Technical Skills Root cause troubleshooting—not just replacing parts Read machine manuals and technical documentation Use precision measuring tools Basic computer skills for Plex Soft Skills Safety-first mindset Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking Able to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication with production and engineering Sense of urgency without sacrificing quality Willingness to learn new equipment and technologies Dependable attendance and flexibility for overtime Preferred Experience 5+ years in industrial manufacturing maintenance Automotive manufacturing experience FANUC robot troubleshooting and recovery PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred; programming not required but a plus) Forklift and aerial lift experience Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
