Based in St. Louis, with travel throughout the Midwest.
Terms:
Full-time Hourly Range:
$39-45/hour, depending on experience. R&S provides lodging and daily per diem during travel. R&S Towers, Inc. specializes in the construction and maintenance of wireless infrastructure and currently works in Missouri and neighboring states. This position requires frequent travel and working in various weather conditions for irregular hours. About the role:
A Crane Operator plays a critical role in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communication equipment and support structures. You will travel extensively throughout the Midwest, most often leaving Monday and returning Friday, must be willing to work weekends on occasion. You will perform work in all types of weather both individually and as a team member, while diligently following safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
Safely driving, operating, and maintaining the 40 and 50 ton National Cranes (NBT40 and NBT50L). Various lift-related duties, i.e., rigging and derigging, crane setup and teardown in non stardard conditions, and lift plan analysis and signoff. When not operating a crane, assist civil crews with general labor, deliver equipment and material to project sites, and use various pieces of smaller equipment to dig or establish grade. Possess knowledge of the hazards associated with heavy equipment operation and maintenance, creation of largescale excavations, and working on/near energized equipment. Analyze situations accurately, adopt acceptable solutions, and communicate effectively. Work independently and as a member of a crew.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of crane operation experience. Class A or B CDL - Manual,Air Brake, Combination Endorsements Clean driving record National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operator Card Completion of training such as
OSHA, RF
Awareness, CPR/FA Pass an initial physical and drug screen/random future screens. Ability to travel regularly and occasionally work weekends. Be able to lift, push, and carry up to 75 pounds. Capable of repetitive movements such as walking and climbing. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard. Follow directions well. Be versatile, flexible, and willing to work in changing conditions and situations with enthusiasm.
