Job Summary Brown Transit is looking for safe, dependable and motivated drivers to operate CRANE Transit buses throughout the Grand Island City Limits. Successful candidates will have a safe driving record, the ability to follow a flexible schedule and excellent customer service skills. Duties Follow transportation schedules Assist patrons in finding materials Drive automobile, van, or light truck Provide clerical assistance to customers or patients Provide assistance to post office customers Provide directions or other information to visitors Collect fees Accommodate requests of passengers Provide clients with travel information Provide customers with travel assistance Provide personal services to passengers Provide travel suggestions Use passenger rate schedules Inspect commercial vehicles Load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products Sustain attention in air traffic emergencies Explain traffic or transportation situations concisely Operate highway passenger vehicles Set flares, flags, lanterns or torpedoes during emergency stops Expedite freight movement Follow traffic laws Provide customer service in surface transportation Read and accurately follow navigation charts Brown Transit is hiring two CRANE drivers for between 25 and 35 hours a week.
