Operates a crane to safely lift, move and position a wide variety of loads, as well as performing other construction related activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates ability to operate a crane for all construction purposes. Performs maintenance and inspection on crane and associated lifting equipment for safe and smooth operation. Obtain proper service as required. Based upon knowledge of lifting and the products lifted, strap, hook, or secure all loads to prevent damage to the crane and its load and surrounding area. Possess knowledge of the cranes capacities and capabilities for all loads encountered. Maintain good health habits with excellent driving record. Perform other assigned construction activities when not engaged in crane operation. Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner. Participate in safety activities and wear protective equipment where required.

Education:

High School Diploma, or GED, preferred. Technical school education, preferred.
