Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Crane Operator to join our construction and materials handling team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of cranes, including overhead cranes, boom trucks, and hydraulic lifting equipment, to efficiently move heavy materials and equipment across construction sites and warehouses. Your expertise in crane operation, load handling procedures, and safety protocols will ensure smooth project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects with a focus on safety, precision, and teamwork. Duties Operate cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy lifting equipment in accordance with load handling procedures and safety regulations Safely lift, move, and position materials or equipment on construction sites or within warehouse environments Secure loads using appropriate rigging methods and load securing techniques to prevent accidents or damage during transportation Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA safety standards Follow construction workplace safety regulations diligently while implementing all safety protocol guidelines during crane operation Coordinate with team members to execute material handling tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and safety checks in compliance with company policies Qualifications Proven experience operating cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, excavators, backhoes, or similar heavy equipment in construction or warehouse settings Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, crane systems, load handling procedures, rigging techniques, and safety equipment usage Valid commercial driver's license with endorsements for operating heavy machinery preferred Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and OSHA standards for crane operation and materials handling Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on lifting equipment and identify potential issues early Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safe work practices Prior experience working in construction environments or shipping & receiving operations is highly desirable Join us as a Crane Operator and be part of a dedicated team committed to safety excellence and operational success.
