Crane Operator/Yard Supervisor Sailing Inc Cleveland, OH Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Lift truck High school diploma or GED Driver's License Power tools Sandblasting Materials handling Hand tools Full Job Description SUMMARY Help manage service and support our operations in a wide range of duties, including but not limited to commissioning and decommissioning power and sailboats and launch and haul-out activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Removes vessels from water, using movable lift crane or marine railway. Positions and secures blocking at bottom and sides of vessels according to size, weight, and weight distribution of vessels, using fasteners, handtools, and power tools. Removes flaked paint, barnacles, and encrusted debris from hulls of vessel, using scrapers, scrubbers, power washers, and sandblast equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to operate a tow motor, travel lift and movable lift crane is preferred Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The shops and outdoor areas may be noisy and dirty. Safety measures must be taken when working with hand and power tools, fiberglass, resins, and other chemicals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting (up to 60 lbs.), balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
