Duties Assist experienced crane operators with setup, inspection, and operation of cranes and lifting equipment Learn and follow load handling procedures, including load securing rigging methods and safety protocols to ensure safe lifting practices. Support the handling and movement of materials using cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other heavy equipment. Conduct routine safety equipment checks and ensure compliance with construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations related to crane operation, materials handling, and general construction activities. Help with shipping & receiving tasks by organizing materials and ensuring proper documentation for material movement. Maintain clear communication with team members to coordinate lifting operations efficiently while prioritizing safety at all times. Skills Knowledge of load handling procedures in crane operations, including rigging techniques and load securing methods. Familiarity with overhead cranes, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment operation within construction or warehouse environments. Experience with materials handling tools like forklifts, excavators, backhoes, and shipping & receiving procedures. Ability to follow detailed instructions for crane operation while maintaining a focus on safety protocol adherence.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
