Duties Operate different types of cranes such as overhead cranes, boom trucks, and hydraulic cranes to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites or within warehouses. Follow load handling procedures and rigging methods to secure loads properly before lifting or transporting materials. Conduct routine inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure safety equipment is functional and maintenance needs are addressed promptly. Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety protocols during all operations. Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences, ensuring efficient workflow while maintaining safety at all times. Handle materials safely using forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other material handling equipment as needed for various project phases. Maintain detailed logs of crane operations, inspections, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Requirements Proven experience operating cranes such as overhead cranes, boom trucks, or hydraulic lifting equipment in construction or warehouse environments. Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, load securing rigging methods, and heavy equipment operation. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial driving preferred. Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper implementation of safety protocols. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on cranes and related lifting equipment. Strong understanding of materials handling procedures including load securing rigging methods and safe operation practices. Experience with construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety equipment usage at all times. Familiarity with backhoe operation, excavators, forklifts, and shipping & receiving processes is a plus.
