Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our team for local flatbed deliveries . Our trucks are equipped with overhead rail boom unloaders and rear-mounted knuckle boom cranes to assist with loading and unloading. No prior crane experience required — we provide full training on all equipment. This is a local driving role with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficient delivery operations. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A CDL flatbed trucks for local deliveries Load and unload materials using boom and crane equipment (training provided) Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time service Complete required logs, mileage records, and Hours of Service documentation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs Perform basic vehicle upkeep and communicate mechanical concerns Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers, and team members Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times Be flexible to work from alternate locations based on delivery needs Requirements Valid Class A CDL license Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles Strong commitment to safety and reliability Ability to follow instructions and work independently Willingness to learn equipment operation (training provided) Must be able to meet physical demands of the role, including loading/unloading materials Reliable transportation and ability to work assigned local routes Preferred Qualifications Experience with flatbed driving or freight delivery Familiarity with load securement and DOT regulations Basic mechanical understanding of commercial vehicles Additional Details Local deliveries - home daily Equipment training provided Military candidates encouraged to apply Open to applicants without high school diploma or college degree Work Environment & Traits for Success This role is best suited for someone who is: Dependable and consistent Adaptable to changing delivery needs Able to work independently with minimal supervision Safety-minded and detail-oriented
