Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our Grove RT 770E to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment at our pre-engineered metal building construction sites. Your expertise will ensure efficient materials handling, adherence to safety protocols, and seamless coordination with other construction personnel. Responsibilities Operate our Grove RT 770E with precision and safety in accordance with load handling procedures. Conduct pre-operational inspections of lifting equipment, including checking hydraulics, safety devices, rigging gear, and load securing methods. Safely lift, move, and position construction materials, heavy machinery, and shipping & receiving items across the site. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards during crane operation and materials handling activities. Implement proper rigging techniques and load securing procedures to ensure stability during lifting operations. Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to plan lifts and execute tasks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols. Maintain detailed logs of crane operation activities, inspections, maintenance needs, and incident reports as required. Operate other machinery such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts to assist on the job site. Perform other duties as necessary such as cleaning up the yard, assisting our team on job sites, picking up material from suppliers Qualifications 4 years of Crane operating experience Current NCCCO certification Proven experience operating various heavy equipment including mobile cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, and material handling equipment in a construction environment. Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, load handling procedures in crane operations, rigging methods, and safety equipment usage. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is preferred. Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and OSHA standards related to crane operation and heavy equipment use. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on cranes and other lifting devices to ensure optimal functioning. Excellent communication skills for coordinating lifts safely with team members and site managers. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working at heights in various weather conditions. Hours for this job are typically from 7-3:30 but will fluctuate depending on the job. A drug test is required.

From $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
