In this vital role, you will operate large-scale crawler cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that projects progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and operational standards. Duties Operate crawler cranes with precision, ensuring safe handling of loads according to established procedures. Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections of the crane, including checking hydraulic systems, load handling mechanisms, safety equipment, and rigging gear. Follow load securing rigging methods and load handling procedures to ensure stability and safety during lifts. Coordinate with ground personnel for material handling, including the use of overhead cranes, boom trucks, backhoes, and other heavy equipment. Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards throughout all operations. Maintain detailed logs of crane operation activities, inspections, and any incidents or irregularities. Assist with shipping & receiving tasks by loading or unloading materials using appropriate lifting equipment while ensuring proper material handling techniques. Experience Proven experience operating crawler cranes or similar heavy lifting equipment in a construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, crane operation systems, and load handling components. Demonstrated understanding of materials handling and rigging techniques for safe lifting operations. Familiarity with overhead cranes, boom trucks, backhoe operation, and other material handling equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards is essential. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial driving preferred.
