Crane Operator LGS Precast Waco, TX Job Details Full-time $40 - $50 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Forklift Dump truck Warehouse experience Materials handling Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Overhead Crane Operator to join our dynamic construction and materials handling team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently to move heavy materials and equipment across construction sites, warehouses, and shipping areas. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, rigging, and materials handling will ensure smooth workflow and uphold safety standards at all times. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while working in a fast-paced environment that values precision, safety, and teamwork. Duties Operate overhead cranes with precision to lift, move, and position heavy loads across various work zones Conduct routine inspections of cranes and rigging gear to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety regulations Coordinate with team members to plan lifting operations and ensure proper load security using rigging techniques Assist with loading and unloading shipments, utilizing forklifts, boom trucks, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment as needed Maintain accurate records of all crane operations, inspections, and safety checks Follow all safety protocols during crane operation, including proper signaling and communication with ground personnel Support warehouse activities such as shipping & receiving by handling materials efficiently and securely Experience Proven experience operating overhead cranes in construction or warehouse environments Strong mechanical knowledge of crane systems, rigging techniques, and heavy equipment operation Hands-on experience with construction site activities including backhoe operation, excavator use, forklift driving, and boom truck handling Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling best practices Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus for operating related vehicles on-site Prior construction site experience is highly desirable to understand project workflows and safety standards
Pay Rate:
$40-$50/hr
Hours:
