In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes, including overhead cranes, boom trucks, and hydraulic lifting equipment, to safely and efficiently move heavy materials across construction sites and warehouses. Your expertise in load handling procedures, rigging, and safety regulations will ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects with a focus on safety, precision, and operational excellence. Duties Operate cranes such as overhead cranes, boom trucks, and hydraulic cranes in accordance with load handling procedures and safety protocols. Conduct pre-operation inspections of lifting equipment, including checking safety equipment, hydraulics, and load securing rigging methods. Safely lift, move, and position construction materials, heavy machinery like excavators and backhoes, or warehouse items following established safety regulations. Implement proper rigging techniques to secure loads effectively before lifting or transporting materials. Adhere to OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations during all crane operations. Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure materials are handled efficiently within construction or warehouse environments. Maintain detailed logs of crane usage, inspections, incidents, and load movements for compliance and safety documentation purposes. Qualifications NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification is required; valid certification must be maintained throughout employment. Proven experience operating cranes such as overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, or excavators in construction or warehouse settings. Strong mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, load handling procedures, rigging methods, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on lifting equipment and identify potential issues proactively. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for transporting crane equipment between sites. Excellent understanding of materials handling processes including shipping & receiving procedures in a construction or industrial environment. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and safe operation of heavy machinery at all times.
