Job Description
Position summary: Material Handlers operate overhead cranes to hook up and move columns, trusses, I-beams and other structural steel pieces throughout the facility. Overhead crane or similar experience is required for this position. Employees must be able to occasionally lift material weighing as much as 75lbs. We currently have openings on second shift. We at Merrill Steel have been working hard to make sure that our company is a place you want to come to work at each day. Over the past few years, we have initiated a lot of change. The next generation of ownership has become an ever-growing presence at the company. Our Plant Manager, Supervisors, and Leads meet with Human Resources on a weekly basis to talk about ways to improve our shop culture. We have an Employee Liaison whose office is located out in the shop to easily assist employees.
