This is a hands-on, high-skill role working on complex projects including hillside stabilization, deep excavations, and structural support systems . Ideal candidates are comfortable operating drilling equipment in tight-access, steep, and technically demanding environments . Key Responsibilities Operate drilling equipment for: Tieback and soil anchor installation Shoring and earth retention systems Piers, caissons, and foundation drilling Pilings Assist with layout and execution of engineered drilling plans Perform grouting and anchoring procedures for tiebacks Work closely with operators and crew on: Excavation support Retaining wall systems Hillside stabilization and landslide repair Set up and break down drilling rigs and tooling Monitor drilling conditions (soil, rock, groundwater) and adjust methods as needed Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites What We're Looking For 2+ years experience with drilling, tiebacks, or shoring systems Experience operating drill rigs or foundation drilling equipment Ability to work in: Tight-access sites Steep hillsides Active construction environments Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Highly Preferred Experience Tieback / soil nail / anchor installation Grouting systems and procedures Caissons, micropiles, or deep foundation work Working with engineered plans and structural specs CDL or equipment transport experience OSHA / Hazwoper certifications
