Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) Drill Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty drilling equipment to install underground utilities with precision and safety. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project completion while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to make a tangible impact on infrastructure development. Duties Operate HDD drilling machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring precise directional control during utility installation Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of construction machinery, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment, to maintain optimal performance Assist with construction utility work, including excavation, grading, and site preparation to support drilling operations Perform utility locating to accurately identify underground utilities before drilling begins, preventing damage or service interruptions Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment Coordinate with team members to execute construction site tasks effectively while adhering to project timelines Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections for compliance purposes Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and specifically HDD drilling equipment Construction site experience with utility installation, excavation, grading, and general construction activities Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations at all times Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving is preferred but not required. Familiarity with utility locating techniques and tools is a plus Prior experience working in construction utility work or related fields demonstrating reliability and safety consciousness Join our team and bring your expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction utility work to exciting projects that build communities! Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 - 60.0 per week
