Larry M Jacobs and Associates, Inc. (LMJ) We are currently seeking a Driller's Helper for our Pensacola office. No experience is required, though those with mechanical aptitude or previous heavy equipment operation will do well in this field of work. The Driller's Helper is responsible for assisting with the setup and operations of a core drill rig, support equipment, and handling of core samples. A successful candidate must strictly adhere to safety procedures. Job training will be provided; however, the candidate must be a quick learner and, in time, be able to efficiently complete critical field tasks without constant supervision. The candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate and work well with fellow employees, maintain punctuality, a consistently positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Job Description Assists with performing drilling services by operating drilling equipment to bore exploratory vertical holes into the earth to evaluate soil type and strength characteristics. Performs manual labor by assembling and disassembling equipment. Cleans trucks and drill rigs. Gets equipment together for that day's projects. Prepare boring logs and sample jars prior to the job, filling sample jars in the field, completing boring logs in the field and collecting samples from the soil sampler. Driving a company vehicle to job sites, assisting driller during drilling operation with setting up the drill, carrying augers and hooking them up to the drill rig and drill stem. May operative miscellaneous equipment such as water/steam pressure washers to wash the drilling equipment, rods, augers, bits, casing, trucks, and trailers. Follows safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to learn to read drawings for boring layouts. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the daily shift, including 50 pounds overhead. Must be able to reach, lift, and perform work above shoulder height - and the ability to work on uneven surfaces. Must be able to perform manual labor as described in the job description. Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check . Must have a valid Florida drivers license and clean

Salary:
