Position Overview Suncoast Communication Services is seeking a motivated and dependable Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) Crew Member to join our underground utility construction team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, enjoys hands-on work, and is willing to learn the underground construction and directional drilling trade. Previous HDD experience is a plus, but not required. General construction or labor experience is welcomed. Responsibilities Assist the HDD operator and crew with daily drilling operations Prepare and maintain the work area and equipment Assist with locating, potholing, excavation, and underground utility installation Operate hand tools and construction equipment as directed Assist with setup and cleanup of drill sites Help with pulling conduit, installing underground infrastructure, and related construction activities Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements Perform general labor and other duties as needed to support the crew Work effectively as part of a construction team

Qualifications Required:

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving materials Ability to follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment and underground utilities Willingness to learn and develop skills in HDD and underground construction Preferred /

Plus:

Previous horizontal directional drilling experience Experience operating mini excavators, skid steers, or similar equipment Underground utility or telecommunications construction experience Experience with hand tools and construction equipment CDL or other applicable certifications What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, safety-minded, and willing to learn.
