The Role We're hiring experienced Directional Drill Operators (HDD / boring operators) to install underground fiber optic conduit on fiber-to-the-home, backbone, and rural broadband builds. You'll run the rig, lead the bore, and help keep your crew safe and productive. What You'll Do Operate horizontal directional drills Vermeer / Ditch Witch to install conduit and duct Plan and execute bores from construction prints, including depth, pitch, and bore path Work with locators to track the drill head and avoid existing utilities Mix and manage drilling fluid; change tooling for dirt, clay, and rock Complete daily bore logs and production reports Perform daily rig inspections and basic maintenance Follow OSHA and customer safety rules on every job Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and crew What You Need [3+] years of experience operating a directional drill Ability to read construction prints and bore plans Understanding of 811 utility locate procedures Valid driver's license with a good driving record; CDL Class A Preferred Ability to pass a drug screen and a DOT physical Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in all seasons Willingness to travel Nice to Have Rock drilling experience Fiber-to-the-home or long-haul fiber experience Crew lead or foreman experience Apply today.
