Environmental Drilling Assistant / Driller Helper Full-Time | Consistant Overtime | $21.50-$24.00 | No Weekends! Looking for more than just another job? The Position As an Environmental Drilling Assistant/Driller Helper , you'll work alongside a Drill Operator on environmental and geotechnical drilling projects throughout the Midwest. This is a hands-on field position involving drill rig setup, equipment handling, sample collection, site cleanup, equipment maintenance, and other duties that keep our drilling operations running safely and efficiently. No drilling experience? If you have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, construction or outdoor work experience, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do & What to Expect This is a hands-on, physically demanding field position. You'll work outdoors in changing weather conditions and around heavy equipment, noise, dirt, mud, and occasionally hazardous materials.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist the Drill Operator with mobilizing, setting up, and operating drill rigs and support equipment Handle drilling tools, rods, augers, casing, and other equipment Collect, label, and assist with documenting soil, rock, and groundwater samples Safely load and unload equipment and materials Maintain clean and organized vehicles, equipment, tools, and job sites Assist with preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment issues Participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard assessments Complete daily logs and other required documentation under supervision Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Travel to job sites throughout the Midwest, including occasional overnight stays, at least one week per month. Work early mornings and longer days when project schedules require it Perform other duties needed to support drilling operations If you enjoy working outside, staying active, learning how equipment works, and being able to see what you accomplished at the end of the day, this could be a great fit. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Construction, drilling, mechanical, equipment, farming, landscaping, or other outdoor labor experience preferred Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 75+ lbs. Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company and insurance requirements Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work safely around heavy equipment Ability to pass required pre-employment screening and physical requirements 40-hour
