Responsibilities:

Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Dig ditches or trenches, back fill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement. Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers; and mix, pour, and spread concrete. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. All other duties assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Strong mechanical aptitude. Safety Orientated Operate equipment. Clean Driving Record Be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Physically able to climb. Able to function outside year-round. Valid driver's license with a positive driving record. Be available to work overtime and Saturdays as needed. Must be able to have reliable transportation to work and be punctual on a daily basis. Seasonal position that will be subject to winter layoffs. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background evaluation.
