Job Description

[$$$] HDD Equipment Operator - Drill-Tech, LLC Drill-Tech is seeking an HDD Equipment Operator to support horizontal directional drilling crews on active field projects. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining assigned HDD equipment and support equipment during bore operations.

Qualified candidates should have experience working with larger drills, mud systems, recyclers, pumps, locating equipment, fusion equipment, excavators, backhoes, loaders, trucks, trailers, and other underground utility support equipment. The ability to be able to operate a Vermeer 23x30, 24x40, 60x90, 100x140 or related HDD equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating assigned equipment, supporting drilling operations, mixing and monitoring drilling fluid, running recyclers or solids control units when needed, tracking fluid levels and returns, identifying equipment or drilling fluid issues early, assisting with mobilization and demobilization, keeping the jobsite clean and safe, and communicating clearly with the driller and foreman throughout the bore.

This is a hands-on field role for someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
Requirements:
-Prior HDD, underground utility, drilling, equipment, or construction experience required.-Basic mechanical aptitude-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation-Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions-Strong attendance, communication, and safety mindsetPreferred Skills-OSHA 10 and First Aid / CPR preferred or required within 90 days-CDL A or CDL B
