HDD Locator/Operator Sellenriek Construction Locations:

Montgomery City, St. Louis & Columbia, MO Sellenriek Construction is hiring experienced HDD Locator/Operators for underground utility construction projects throughout Missouri. We are looking for candidates with strong HDD locating experience who can safely and accurately guide directional bores around existing utilities. Key Responsibilities Locate and track the drill head throughout HDD operations, monitoring depth, pitch, direction, and bore path. Communicate with the drill operator to make steering adjustments and maintain the planned bore. Read and interpret utility maps, construction prints, and bore plans. Pothole/daylight existing utilities and maintain proper clearance during drilling. Assist with drill setup, pullbacks, product installation, and general crew operations. Operate HDD equipment based on experience and crew needs. Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Complete required field documentation and follow all safety and damage-prevention procedures. Qualifications 3+ years of HDD locating experience preferred. Valid Class A CDL required. Experience with DigiTrak or similar locating systems. Strong understanding of depth, pitch, percentages, bore profiles, and steering. Experience working around existing underground utilities. HDD drill operating experience preferred. Experience with Vermeer, Ditch Witch, or similar equipment preferred. Acceptable driving record. Must be comfortable with travel as projects require.
