Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Driller to join our dynamic construction team. As a key player in excavation and utility installation projects, the Driller will operate heavy drilling equipment to create precise boreholes for utilities, foundations, and other infrastructure needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in every project. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and a passion for operating heavy machinery safely and effectively. Responsibilities Operate drilling equipment such as horizontal drills, augers, and other specialized machinery to perform precise boreholes for utility lines, foundations, and infrastructure projects Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on drilling machinery and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures during operations Assist with construction utility work, including locating underground utilities using utility locating techniques to prevent damage or accidents Support excavation activities by operating loaders, graders, dozers (Caterpillar or similar), water trucks, and other heavy equipment as needed Maintain accurate documentation of drilling activities, safety checks, and equipment maintenance logs Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely completion of drilling tasks within project specifications Skills Proven experience in construction utility work and heavy equipment operation including excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, and water trucks Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on drilling machinery and construction equipment Skilled in commercial truck driving with a valid license for transporting equipment or materials when required Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and excavation processes for utility installation projects Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to all safety regulations on-site Ability to operate construction grading equipment such as graders and dozers efficiently Experience in construction site work including utility locating, paving support, and general excavation tasks Excellent understanding of equipment safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Join us in building essential infrastructure through innovative drilling solutions!
