Phone + Video Job Description We are looking for an experienced Drill Operator to join our telecommunications construction team in Kalispell, Montana. You will operate directional drilling equipment to install underground conduit for fiber, coax, and other telecommunications infrastructure. This is a hands-on field position for someone with experience operating directional drilling equipment and working safely around underground utilities. What You'll Do Operate directional drilling equipment for underground construction projects. Install underground conduit for fiber, coax, and telecommunications infrastructure. Work closely with the Locator and ground crew to safely complete each bore. Read construction prints, maps, work orders, and utility markings. Assist with bore setup, potholing, pullback, and restoration activities. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks. Adjust drilling operations based on soil, depth, and field conditions. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Communicate with crew members and field supervisors. Maintain accurate field documentation. What We're Looking ForRequired Hands-on directional drilling experience. Valid CDL. Valid driver's license. Ability to safely operate directional drilling equipment. Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions. Strong commitment to jobsite safety. Preferred 2+ years of directional drilling or underground utility construction experience. Telecommunications construction experience. Fiber or coax installation experience. Underground conduit installation experience. Ability to read construction prints, maps, and utility markings. Experience working with Locators and ground crews. Work Environment This is a field-based outdoor position in Kalispell, MT.
